The former home of the Scottish literary figure Hugh MacDiarmid is at Sodom in the South of the isle.
Britain’s most northerly golf course is at Skaw in Whalsay.
A sheltered sandy beach can be found on the north side of the Kirkness Road.
Book now to avoid disappointment.
Camping Facilities
Camping facilities are available at the Oot Ower Lounge in Livister. Electric hook-up, toilet and shower. The Oot Ower Lounge also has chalets to rent and serves excellent lunches and dinners. The fish comes highly recommended.
