4. West Mainland
There is plentiful fishing in the lochs of the west side. The main settlement is at Walls, home of the Walls Bakery and Tea Rooms.
The Bonhoga Gallery is inside the Weisdale Mill. The gallery’s exhibition changes regularly and brings a space to Shetland where local, national or international art can be displayed. The gallery is also home to a tearoom and the Shetland Textiles Working Museum. Here, demonstrations take place and visitors can view an extensive collection of textiles which show the history of spinning, knitting and weaving in Shetland.
